Apply at an Apartment

Start by applying with an apartment complex. They will verify if they have units available and will determine if you need our help. If you haven’t done this, then Contact Us to find an apartment near you.

Registration & Pre-Qualification

Once the Apartment refers you to us, then use the email link they sent to you or click
Apply Now button to start our registration process. This is includes a free, simple pre-qualification to see if you meet our basic criteria.

Complete the Application

If you want our help, complete the application. There is a $35 non-refundable processing fee. We typically approve applications within an hour for applications made during business hours.

Pay our fee

Once approved, simply pay our fee and you are ready to sign your new lease. Our fee is non-refundable and is equal to one (1) months rent. We will notify you and the apartment complex when you are ready to sign your new lease.

It all begins with an apartment complex that accepts our service (you must apply with them first), sending you to us. From there, our process is simple:

If you are denied, then you apply with us. If you are searching for a property to rent, click on the ‘Answers’ and ‘Property Search’ buttons which will help you move forward. If your property is not showing on the list, reach out to them to see if they accept our service. If they do not, you will not be able to proceed with that apartment. What is your policy if I have a roommate?

Please keep the following in mind in regards to roommates:

  1. Any adult who is going to be on the lease has to be on our Certificate.
  2. We do not combine income on roommates.
  3. Roommates must apply separately (separate $35.00 app fee).
  4. Roommates must be approved separately (with their own income).
  5. Roommates must each pay a separate fee of the first month’s rent if approved
What is your policy on spouses?

Please keep the following in mind in regards to spouses:

  1. Any adult who is going to be on the lease has to be on our Certificate.
  2. Spouses must apply separately (separate $35.00 app fee).
  3. Spouses must be approved separately (we do combine income on married couples).
  4. Married couples will pay one fee of one month’s rent if approved.
  5. A marriage license/certificate must be provided to your new leasing office in order to proceed (marriage will be verified by our office as well)
I need to pay the co-signing fee of one month’s rent

If you applied and were approved, we forwarded a payment link with the approval email, to the email address you provided. You can pay by using that link or sign in at our website and pay there. You have the ability to edit the amount before paying. Please make sure the amount of rent is correct with your leasing office.

I’m having issues paying via Pay Pal

Liberty accepts whatever cards that Pay Pal accepts. We do not break down our fee and there is no other way to make our payment. Simply use the link we emailed to you or log in to our website and pay there.Please keep the following things in mind:

  1. Make the payment on a desk top or lap top computer instead of your phone.
  2. If your card is being declined, it is because your bank won’t allow the payment to go through (i.e. Wells Fargo).
  3. You will need to use a card that they accept (i.e. a debit card attached to a bank account or an actual credit card).
  4. Some WiFi services have privacy firewalls that won’t allow the payment. Try a different WiFi service.
  5. The card you use does not have to be in your name. Family or friends might be able to help you with this
I need to change my payment/rent amount

You have the ability to edit the payment amount before paying. If you applied and were approved, we forwarded a payment link with the approval email, to the email address you provided. You can pay by using that link or sign in at our website and pay there. Please make sure the amount of rent is correct with your leasing office.

How long is my approval good for?

You have 30 days from your approval date to pay our fee and move in. You would need to re-apply with us after that time frame.

I need to transfer to a different property

We do not transfer properties. It is vital that you move forward with the property you applied for and if approved, were approved for. You will need to begin our process again and re-apply with us if you wish to change to a different apartment complex.

Are you getting an error message?
  1. Log in at app.libertyrent.com and use the email address you entered originally.
  2. If you don’t have the Liberty password for that email address, click on the ‘Did you forget your password?’ feature
  3. If you used an incorrect email address or you do not know the email you used on your application, you will need to re-apply with us (this is for privacy reasons). We apologize for any inconvenience but you must use a proper email address in order to move forward with our service.
  4. Please log in using the same computer you applied with.
  5. You may want to try to enter through a laptop or desktop computer if you’re having issues through your phone or consider using a different WiFi service
