How Second Chance Lease Approval Works

5 Easy Steps:

Step 1:

Applicants cannot apply directly without an invitation
from a participating rental community. The first step is to
apply to a Liberty Rent Partnered Property. If you are denied
or conditionally approved, you may be invited to
apply with Liberty Rent.

Step 2:

Use the link in the invitation to set up your account and
complete the application. There is a $35 application fee,
which is refundable if you are not approved.

Step 3:

Liberty Rent reviews each application to understand your
unique financial circumstances and evaluate your ability to
fulfill a lease obligation. We go deeper in our review to give
you a second chance to be approved for your lease.

Step 4:

If you are approved, Liberty Rent will notify both you and
the property, and you’ll pay a one-time access fee to Liberty Rent.

For most applicants, this fee is equal to one month’s rent.

Some properties choose to use PrecisePrice. With PrecisePrice,
your access fee is customized based on the financial information
you provided in your application and ranges from 50% to 125%
of one month’s rent.

Step 5:

Sign your lease and move in. Congratulations!

  • Lease terms, payments, and responsibilities are between you and the property
