Were you denied or conditionally approved for the place you want to live? You still have options.
If you didn’t get approved for the home you want, Liberty Rent may be able to help.
Liberty Rent is a second chance lease approval service that helps renters get approved after a denial or conditional approval at participating partner properties.
Many property managers rely mostly on credit scores and limited financial checks when reviewing applications. While common, those tools don’t always reflect a renter’s full financial picture or ability to pay rent.
That’s where Liberty Rent comes in.
We provide a more complete review, so renters have another opportunity to be approved.

How it Works
5 Easy Steps
Step 1: Apply at a Liberty Rent Partner Property
Apply directly to a Liberty Rent partner property. If the property denies or conditionally approves your application, they may invite you to apply with Liberty Rent.
Find a Liberty Rent partner property here.
Step 2: Complete a Liberty Rent Application
Use the link to set up your account and complete the application. You will be required to upload information to verify your identity and income. There is a $35 application fee, which is refundable if you are not approved.
Step 3: We Review Your Application
Liberty Rent will run a soft credit check, which will not impact your credit score. Our experienced team will look over your application, taking into consideration your unique circumstances.
Step 4: Pay the Access Fee to Receive Your Lease
If approved, we’ll notify you and the property with the good news. Liberty Rent will then charge a one-time access fee (for most applicants, equal to one month’s rent). Once the access fee is paid, the property will issue your lease.
Step 5: Sign Your Lease and Move In!

What Our Clients Say
“You have truly changed our lives in ways I can’t even begin to describe. Before we had the opportunity to be a part of the Liberty Rent Second Chance Program, my daughters and I were living in a toxic and unsafe environment. It felt like there was no way out. However, thanks to your program, we were able to break free from that situation and start fresh. I can’t put into words what a relief it is to know that my girls are now in a safe, nurturing space.”
